Summer Camp highlights

The Office of Community & Professional Education wraps up another successful summer of Kids on Campus programs! Over 900 campers participated in variety of programs on the main campus, at TEC-SMART and at Bethlehem Middle School. Programs included athletics, theater, circus, technology, summer academy and our new health science camp.  Over 95 sections were available to campers.

For the first time ever, students entering grades 9 and 10 had an opportunity to participate in a hands-on health science camp. Sessions included community health navigator, dental hygiene, nursing, paramedic, polysomnography, respiratory care, and surgical technology.

We hope to continue the health science camp in summer 2020 and encourage other departments to contact us if you interested in a summer offering in your area. It’s a great opportunity to get high school students on campus to discover our degree programs.

We awarded over $9,000 in scholarships to local children. Thanks to both the Foundation and the Grants Office for their continued support.

The success of these programs could not be achieved without the support of many offices and departments on campus. A special shout out to Accounts Payable, Athletics, Central Receiving, Communications and Marketing, Events, Graphics, Health Services, Human Resources, ITS, Instructional Technologies, Payroll, Physical Plant and Public Safety.
